Hager Single Module Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD) is designed for use with compatible Hager consumer units in single-phase electrical installations. It provides Type 2/Class II surge protection, helping to protect electrical installations and connected equipment against transient overvoltages. The unit features a single-module design and is mounted on a 35mm DIN rail. The SPD uses a pluggable surge protection module, allowing the cartridge to be replaced when required. It also features an optical status indication to show the condition of the protection cartridge. The device uses a CT2 connection arrangement, making it suitable for common UK earthing systems including TN-C-S (PME), TN-S and TT when correctly installed.
